Conspiracy theorists might suggest that the reason that amazon, after being hit with the shocking revelation that indie-authors publish content that is not only of questionable quality but also of questionable legaility
, is deleting deleting self-pub left and right just because they contain innocent keywords like "babysitter" or even just "brother" or are erotica but about completely harmless stuff happening between consenting adults but leave Christie Sims complete catalogue
[don't opan this link at work...or at all if you value your sanity] on their site (minus those that got taken down a while ago for copyright-infringement on the cover-images), which mostly feature non-con or at least dub-con bestiality with mythological or extinct creatures* is that there has been a recent hype about those monster erotica and lots of people buy these books ergo amazon is making lots of money and they hope to calm down the raging masses
by sacrificing a few random indie-authors while ignoring the actual problems.
As said: this is what conspiracy theorists might suggest...I personally suggest you take a look at the amazon-guidelines for publishing via KDP which state
We don't accept pornography or offensive depictions of graphic sexual acts. What we deem offensive is probably about what you would expect.
That rather suggests that amazon is just really really
stupid...because everybody who thinks you could run something like KDP with guidelines that are laxer than anything I've seen on fanfiction-archives obviously also think you can get rid of incest & rape-smut by deleting all self-pub that contain the word "babysitter" in the description.
*these books...seriously. Weretiger Erotica
? Werewolf Multible Males One Female Erotica? Dragon Monster BDSM Erotica?
I'd never thought that one day I would wish that Harry/Voldemort was the weirdest thing in existence, I was aware of.
On the non-weird-erotica related front: I watched the trailer for tomorrow's Tatort and...,It looks not even that bad
...I've always been preaching that if you go for the 'Ohhh one of our MC is a murder-suspect' you can't make it about 'did he really do it?' but have to look at a different angle like 'How does it affect him/the others?' and...it actually looks like they're going for that. Woah...if it really turns out that Münster manages to handle this storyline better than this attrocious München- and only slightly better Berlin-episode I promise to reduce my eyerolling by 50% whenever Münster pops up in a conversation.
Talking about München: Nächste Woche dann: München! Dominik Graf! Maxi Brückner! Mišel Matičević! /Incoherent Fangirly Squee/ Story basiert lose auf 'Der Untergang des Hauses Usher' WTF? Aber egal! *squeee*
